June 20th is the longest day of the year, marking the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. Summer Solstice is a time to connect with nature, and express gratitude for our physical being and existence on this beautiful, abundant planet. Allow your senses to take in the freshness and joy of this season. Let the Sun warm your skin and heart, be delighted by the sounds of the birds and wind in the trees, the air scented with thriving plants and flowers.
June 21st is a Solar Eclipse and New Moon with the Sun almost 90% covered by the Moon, an almost Total Eclipse producing a ring of fire around a dark Sun and sky. The Solar Eclipse will be visible in Africa and Asia, with the ring of fire lasting no more than one minute.
The Summer Solstice and Solar Eclipse brings massive shifts in energy, a completion and beginning of a new journey for each of us as individuals, and also as a united collective on this planet. We are microcosms of the macrocosm, all living and breathing, hearts beating in synch with the Earth, Gaia. We all share the same Sun, Moon and Planet, and we are all connected and affected by the celestial cycles and transits.
The Solar Eclipse and New Moon represent creation from the Void of Nothingness and the fire of Creation through Destruction.
